As I’ve become increasingly involved in the sustainability and green tech space over the last year I’ve been slowly working my way up to making some improvements to the newsletter.
This, in hopes of growing a real community of proffessionals and enthusiasts alike, bridging gaps between green tech founders and investors, to NGO’s that provide the traditional means of environmental research and conservation.
We need more collaboration and input on eitherside from each other. Green tech is exciting and can help accelerate environmental goals but its important we don’t lose sight of the most impactful work being carried out by traditional environmental organisations and voices.
Facilitating this dialogue, creating new funding streams, modernising traditional thinking within NGO spaces, and aligning private green tech sector with truely environmental impactful solutions is the overall vision.
I’ve decided to rebrand to “Tech4Earth” signifying the change in this direction (by rebrand I mean I just didn’t particuarly like the original name).
The following improvements will roll-out over the next 6 - 12 months.
Newsletter changes: will increase to once a week and alternate between a current events article for news in the space and the more topical reads I’ve already been publishing. This will start Aug 30th.
Current events letter will include sections on: Significant raises for new start-ups, political insights, start-up spotlight and a general industry news section.
Topical read: Engaging educational pieces around emerging green technology and how it’s being applied across a huge range of sectors: tech, environmental, business, finance, energy etc.
Community first - I’ll be using the chat function to take your sugggestions for new features to add, or what the next deep dive to be on. I’ll also roll out further community building features, telegram / discord for a more streamlined way to access current news.
Podcasts/interviews - I want to get the word out there. Founders, Investors, Conservationists, Ecologists, Philanthopists - If you’re involved in the space I want to platform your vision.
The vision - wealth sharing: Once significant growth has taken place there will be availability for start-up’s looking to raise, to market their pitch decks on site, providing a direct line for investors to connect and fund new ventures in green tech. NGO’s can also market their invaluable work, providing space for philanthropic donations to be made or strategic partnerships struck between private and NGO sectors.
